Health Promotion Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assist with the coordination, development, and implementation of a comprehensive Health Promotion program.
• Perform individual wellness screenings, educational classes, incentive programs, and health fairs.
• Assess participants through finger sticks, blood pressure screenings, and biometric measurements including height, weight, BMI/body composition.
• Educate participants on making positive lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain current knowledge of health promotion topics to update health education program materials.
• Coordinate and/or ensure proper maintenance of supplies, equipment, and files in secure storage according to regulatory guidelines.
• Support mobile worksite events as needed.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Health Education, or a related field, with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Current CPR/AED and first aid certification.
• Proficiency in performing tasks related to the technical and professional disciplines required for the Health Promotion Specialist position.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to comply with regulated procedures.

Preferred qualifications

• NASM Wellness Coach Certification.
• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

Pay

• $19-$21 per hour.

Schedule

• Full time, Monday - Friday.
