About the role

Your public health expertise is more valuable than ever — and not just in traditional settings. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to train cutting-edge AI models, and we need credentialed public health professionals to help us get it right. As a Health Policy & Management AI Content Specialist, you'll use your MPH-level knowledge to challenge, evaluate, and improve how AI systems understand population health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health policy. This is a high-impact, fully remote contract role where your domain expertise directly shapes AI that millions of people may one day rely on for health information.

What You'll Do

  • Design Complex Public Health Scenarios — Create advanced, real-world challenges involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and statistical interpretation of clinical trials to rigorously test AI understanding.
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step expert responses that synthesize peer-reviewed research, epidemiological data, and authoritative guidelines (CDC, WHO, and more).
  • Audit AI-Generated Health Content — Evaluate AI outputs for factual accuracy, logical coherence, bias, and adherence to ethical public health standards. Identify misinformation and reasoning gaps with precision.
  • Refined AI Reasoning — Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI models distinguish correlation from causation, communicate health risks clearly, and serve diverse populations equitably.

Required

  • Graduate degree in Public Health — MPH, MSPH, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
  • Ability to translate complex health data into clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive written content
  • High attention to detail when assessing statistical significance, data citations, and intervention logic
  • No prior AI or data annotation experience needed — we'll get you up to speed

Nice to have

  • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research review workflows
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
  • Background in health communication, clinical research coordination, or public health surveillance
