About the role

Your public health expertise is more valuable than ever — not just in clinics or policy offices, but at the frontier of artificial intelligence. Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI models. We're looking for Masters in Public Health (MPH) graduates and public health professionals to help shape how AI understands and communicates health information. This is a fully remote, flexible contractor role where your domain knowledge directly influences how millions of people will receive health guidance through AI systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design Complex Health Scenarios — Create advanced public health challenges involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and interpretation of epidemiological and clinical trial data
  • Author Gold-Standard Responses — Write rigorous, evidence-based answers that synthesize peer-reviewed research, biostatistical reasoning, and current public health guidelines (CDC, WHO, and beyond)
  • Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for accuracy, bias, misinformation, and adherence to ethical standards
  • Strengthen AI Reasoning — Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI distinguish correlation from causation, communicate health risks clearly, and serve diverse populations equitably

Requirements

  • Holds a Master's in Public Health (MPH), MSPH, or closely related graduate degree
  • Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
  • Skilled at translating complex health data into clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive written communication
  • Detail-oriented — precise when checking statistical significance, data citations, and the logic behind health interventions
  • No prior AI experience required — we'll onboard you fully
  • Nice to have experience with data annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
  • Background in health communication, clinical research coordination, or public health surveillance

Qualifications

Commensurate with experience.

Skills

  • Expertise in public health domains
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning principles

Benefits

Full remote and asynchronous work environment, high autonomy, no micromanagement, global collaboration, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
