About the Role

Datavant is seeking an entry-level professional to process release of information (ROI) requests, specifically medical record requests, in a timely and efficient manner. This role ensures accuracy, maintains patient privacy, and provides excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will work in a high-volume production environment, manage patient health records, and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with company and facility policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
  • Adhere to the company's and customer facilities' Code of Conduct and policies.
  • Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes.
  • Assist with additional duties as required.
  • Manage patient health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Prepare new patient charts and gather documents from paper and electronic sources.
  • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in electronic medical records.
  • Respond to requests for patient records, both internally and externally.
  • Answer inbound/outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as faxes, mail, and data entry.
  • Meet productivity expectations and schedule pick-ups as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to commute between locations as needed.
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with office equipment (phones, fax, printers, etc.).
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and manage changing priorities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a healthcare environment (preferred).
  • Previous production/metric-based work experience (preferred).
  • In-person customer service experience (preferred).
  • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers (preferred).
  • Comfortable suggesting process improvements and providing feedback (preferred).

Pay

The estimated base pay range per hour for this role is: $15—$15 USD.
