About the role
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia is seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Data Specialist to join the HIM team. This role focuses on managing, analyzing, aggregating, and distributing data while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. The position supports mental health services for children and adolescents.
Responsibilities
- Work with the HIM team to manage, analyze, aggregate and distribute data for Devereux Georgia
- Work collaboratively with the HIM team to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Complete requests for records within required time frames
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity and security of data
- Develop proficiency with use of the Electronic Medical Record and other data systems
Qualifications
- High School diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years as a data specialist or other related work experience
- Experience with MS Office and other desktop applications
- Must have excellent skills in Excel and Access
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong technical skills and comfortable utilizing in-house computer applications for documenting and reporting purposes
- Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily
- All individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children must complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate's understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children

Pay
Competitive compensation. Eligible full-time employees, family members and domestic partners may start benefits after 30 days of employment.
