About the role
The HIM Specialist is under the supervision of the HIM Operations Manager, performs all activities involved in the preparation of medical records for the document imaging and management process and/or ensuring good image quality as well as verification and validation of all patient encounters for COA.
Responsibilities
- Excellent analytical skills to include data gathering, fact-finding, and report generation using word processing, spreadsheets, and database tools.
- Proficiency with personal computers to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must have ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to work independently or with very general direction.
Requirements
- Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
- Nonessential: Registered Health Information Technician or Registered Health Information Administrator
- Nonessential: Associates Degree in Health Information Management or Bachelors of Science or Arts in Health Information Management
- Nonessential: Healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

- Registered Health Information Administrator

Schedule
The work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, 8:00 am -4:30 pm, Monday-Friday Standard Days.
