Health Information Management (HIM) Technician - FT Days | Westover Hills Rehab

About the role

We care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The Health Information Management (“HIM”) Technician supports the HIM function through inpatient assembly, analysis, and admissions processing, including sorting, proofing, and error identification of all reports. The role also provides telephone back-up as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient assembly, analysis, and admissions processing
• Sort, proof, and identify errors in medical reports
• Provide telephone back-up support as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Specialized training in an approved business, secretarial school, or college
• Specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program preferred
• Previous medical record experience in a healthcare setting preferred
