Health Information Management Clerk (HIM) PRN

About the role

Copper Springs East, part of Lifepoint Behavioral Health, is seeking passionate, patient-centric, and goal-oriented team members to join their compassionate behavioral health services team. They specialize in crisis stabilization, inpatient care, and outpatient treatment for acute mental health and substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering health information services consistent with accreditation and regulatory standards and facility standards.
• Implements P&Ps for documenting, storing and retrieving information, processing medical legal documents, insurance data, and correspondence requests.
• Maintains patient medical records and ensures accurate documentation per requirements.
• Ensures HIPAA guidelines are followed.

Requirements

A high school degree or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience in information management and psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred.
