Health Information Management (HIM) Clerk

Basic Function:

To maintain and ensure accurate, complete and timely medical information for HVHS patients for continuity of care, requests for information, and to facilitate the coding and billing processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency with computers and healthcare applications.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
• Previous medical record clerk experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of medical record processes (preferred).
• Ability to utilize the terminal digit order numbering and filing system (preferred).
