Health Information Analyst / HIM Operations

Job Summary

Provides HIM support to the department as needed to comply with State, Federal and Regulatory requirements. This includes but is not limited to release of information, prepping, scanning, indexing and analyzing records in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience: Three (3) years medical records MPI, Data Integrity, Document Capture, Record Analysis, Delinquent Record Monitoring and/or ROI.
• Epic EHR, MPI, Data Integrity, Document Capture, Excel
• Licenses and Certifications: RHIT preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Reads and understands oral and written instructions, and effectively communicates information.
• Computer skills (including opening/reading email, internet use, basic excel and word).
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers.
• Organized, flexible and a team player.
• Able to manage time and meet deadlines in a hectic work environment.
• Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Exercises discretion and uses good judgment.
• Recognizes problem situations and refers them to the appropriate staff member or Supervisor.
