Health Informatics Specialist I- Enterprise Training- Fully Remote

This is a fully remote, full-time position.

About the Role

Health Informatics (HI) integrates health care science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in clinical practice across the care continuum. The goal of informatics is to improve the health of populations, communities, families, and individuals by optimizing information management and communication through informatics solutions and technology. These activities support all areas of health care delivery, including direct provision of care, administrative systems, education, lifelong learning, and research.

Responsibilities

• Research, collect, and analyze information to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead through resolution.
• Collaborate on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency and patient experience.
• Responsible for the distribution of analytical reports.
• Utilize multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials.
• Incorporate knowledge of Trinity Health policies, practices, and processes to ensure quality, confidentiality, and safety.
• Synthesize and analyze data, providing detailed summaries, graphical presentations, and practical recommendations for leadership decision-making.
• Leverage program and operational data to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts.
• Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, and Code of Conduct.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of Health Informatics through a combination of education and experience.
• At least two (2) years of experience in an informatics or related role, with experience in clinical information systems and health information technology.
• Basic understanding of clinical treatment modalities, educational principles, clinical information systems, accreditation and regulatory standards, and program development.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of change management and project management principles.

Qualifications

• Certification from a national informatics certifying body (preferred).
• Fellowship, academic courses, or other formal training in Health Informatics (preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Health Informatics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Indirect/Healthcare Support Services role with occasional clinical/patient-facing work.
• Continuous work time indoors under temperature-controlled and well-lit conditions; occasional variable external environmental conditions.
• Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted, frequent travel, and use of a computer.
• Continuous sitting, with occasional long periods of walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
• Ability to adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities, and stressful situations.
• Ability to attend to tasks until complete, understand complex ideas, and work on concurrent tasks/projects.
• Continuous reading of small print and frequent ability to hear normal sounds and voice patterns.
• Frequent manual dexterity activities and occasional grasping/handling.
• Continuous attention to maintaining a safe working environment and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
