Health Informatics Specialist I- Enterprise Training- Fully Remote

Employment Type: Full time. This is a fully remote position.

About the Role

Health Informatics (HI) integrates health care science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in clinical practice across the care continuum. Health informatics facilitates the integration of data, information, knowledge, and wisdom to support operations through information structures, processes, and technology. The goal is to improve the health of populations, communities, families, and individuals by optimizing information management and communication. Activities include designing and using informatics solutions and technology to support health care delivery, administrative systems, education, lifelong learning, and research.

Responsibilities

• Research, collect, and analyze information to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead through resolution.
• Collaborate on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency and patient experience.
• Distribute analytical reports.
• Utilize multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials.
• Incorporate knowledge of Trinity Health policies, practices, and processes to ensure quality, confidentiality, and safety.
• Synthesize and analyze data, providing detailed summaries, graphical presentations, and practical recommendations.
• Leverage program and operational data to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts.
• Maintain working knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, and Code of Conduct.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of Health Informatics through a combination of education and experience.
• At least two (2) years of experience in an informatics or related role, with experience in clinical information systems and health information technology.
• Basic understanding of clinical treatment modalities, educational principles, clinical information systems, accreditation and regulatory standards, and program development.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of change management and project management principles.

Qualifications

• Certification from a national informatics certifying body (preferred).
• Fellowship, academic courses, or other formal training in Health Informatics (preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Health Informatics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Indirect/Healthcare Support Services: Occasional clinical/patient-facing work environment.
• Continuous work time indoors under temperature-controlled and well-lit conditions; occasional variable external environmental conditions.
• Occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted; frequent travel and use of a computer.
• Continuous sitting; occasional long periods of walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
• Adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities, and stressful situations.
• Attend to tasks until complete; understand and relate to complex ideas and concepts.
• Continuous reading of small print; frequent ability to hear normal sounds and voice patterns.
• Frequent manual dexterity activities and occasional grasping/handling.
• Continuous attention to maintain a safe working environment and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

$75,592 - $113,389
