Health Info. Systems Specialist

About the role

RiseWell Community Services is seeking a Full‑Time Health Information Systems Specialist to join the Information Technology Department in Medford, NY. In this role you will lead the implementation, use, and functionality of all Health Information Systems (HIS), working with third‑party EHR vendors, Health Homes, IPAs, RHIOs, and agency stakeholders. You will be responsible for the complete EHR lifecycle, including optimization, governance, and quality assurance, and will align those systems with the agency’s data analytics function.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and ongoing use of all Health Information Systems.
• Collaborate with third‑party EHR vendors, Health Homes, IPAs, RHIOs, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage the full EHR lifecycle: optimization, governance, and quality assurance.
• Integrate HIS with the agency’s data analytics initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure system functionality meets organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare services with expertise in Electronic Health Record systems.

Requirements

• Valid NY State driver’s license.
