Health Info Management Services Technician

About the Role

Easterseals MORC is looking for a Health Information Management Technician to help make a difference. We seek individuals who are passionate about serving others and excited to contribute to meaningful work.

Responsibilities

• Review records for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Extract relevant data from information provided by others and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Follow mandatory procedures to ensure work meets required quality standards and adheres to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
• Enter data into standard company systems and review and verify it for accuracy.
• Organize and prepare complex documents using standard office software and technology devices.
• Gather documents for release to external entities.
• Comply with all rules, regulations, laws, and standards associated with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Handle all requests for information from the Easterseals MORC, Inc. Health Record, meeting established turnaround times.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree.
• At least one year of related work experience.
