About the role
This position is located at the West Tennessee Regional Office. A criminal background check is required; you may need to provide information about your criminal history during the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Support health educators in building and strengthening community partnerships using collective impact principles.
- Align state, regional, and local efforts with health council priority goals.
- Assist councils in identifying and pursuing grant opportunities; stay current on grant cycles and requirements.
- Manage administrative needs for regional and county health councils, including maintaining and communicating meeting schedules.
- Ensure bylaw compliance and approve council documentation.
- Submit food invoices and provide analytical support and guidance for the 3-year County Health Assessment (CHA) process.
- Supervise and provide ongoing support to the CHIP Coordinator.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
- Substantial (five or more years of) full-time, increasingly responsible professional health program work, including at least one year of full-time supervisory work or statewide program oversight.
- A valid motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.
Substitution policies
- Additional graduate coursework in a business or health-related field may substitute, on a year-for-year basis, for one year of the required nonsupervisory experience.
- Additional qualifying professional experience may substitute for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of four years.
Driver standards
Positions involving driving responsibilities require:
- A valid driver’s license.
- For the past five years, no record of driving under the influence (DUI), reckless driving, license suspension for moving violations, or more than four moving violations.
