Health Care Support Assistant

About the role

Provides patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in various hospital units, including Neurology, Oncology, and Surgery. Supports patient needs, manages documentation, and facilitates communication to ensure quality care. The position emphasizes patient-centered care and supports a diverse, inclusive workforce.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities following care standards.
• Facilitate clerical tasks and documentation related to patient care.
• Communicate patient information accurately among healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Required certification: BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred certifications: CNA or PCT in the state of practice.

Schedule
