Health Care Specialist RN/1:1 and Float RN- 6.5-8.0 hours/day (LE)
Job Summary
The Health Care Specialist works 1:1 with a student with complex medical needs to support them during the school day. The Health Care Specialist performs health related activities and provides routine health services and emergency procedures for students through an interactive, caring, and supportive manner. Requires a RN License through the Minnesota Board of Nursing and CPR Certification. Experience with children with complex medical needs (tracheostomy care) preferred. RN may be expected to ride the bus with the student before and after school. If the student is absent, the RN will be assigned work in one of the District Health Offices.
Requirements
- Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Current certification in CPR
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in working with children with special health needs and/or involved in special education
- Basic computer skill
- Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred

Salary/Wage Information
The starting hourly rate for this position is $36.97 per hour based on Level IX, Step 1 - $47.03 per hour based on Level IX, Step 5 of the Technical Support Terms and Conditions of Employment. A generous insurance plan which includes medical, dental, vision, life and LTD insurance. Also a 3.5% 403b match and a pension through MN PERA.
