About the role

Myers and Stauffer LC is a certified public accounting and health and human services consulting firm, specializing in audit, accounting, data management and consulting services to government-sponsored health care programs (primarily state Medicaid agencies, and the federal Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services).

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analyses and reviews related to health care delivery system models and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support meeting project requirements that relate to population health management and value-based purchasing payment approaches within the health care industry.
• Independently perform various analyses and reviews relating to health care delivery system reform engagements, as desired by the client.
• Review, summarize, and apply Federal and State Medicaid and/or Medicare policies and regulations.
• Support preparation of analytical data reports and/or presentations.
• Support implementation of quality improvement concepts and methods.
• Manage Industry inquiries and communications related to contract engagement activities.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, finance, health care or related field.
• Internship or equivalent working experience in health care or related field.
• Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, etc.
• Strong ability to analyze data to identify issues.
• Organized and detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• EFFECTIVE multi-tasking with planning and efficiency.
