Health Care Aide (Barrhead)
Barrhead is approximately 120 km northwest of Edmonton. Applications will be accepted until a suitable candidate is selected.
About the role
Health Care Aides provide support, advocacy, and choice to residents and their families to ensure the highest quality of resident-focused care. As members of the clinical care team, the Health Care Aide assists residents with the activities of daily living, including:
- Bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Personal hygiene
- Meal service
- Mobility and transfers in a safe and caring manner
Requirements
- Registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (satisfactory to the employer)
- Legally permitted to work in Canada
Pay
Hourly rate of pay: $21.08–$26.42
Schedule
- Employment type: Permanent part-time (evening shift)
- FTE: 0.8
- Bi-weekly hours: 62
