About the Role
Health Care Aides provide support, advocacy, and choice to residents and their families to ensure the highest quality of resident focused care. As members of the clinical care team, the Health Care Aide assists residents with the activities of daily living including providing residents with assistance in bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene, meal service, and mobility/transfers in a safe and caring manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Provide residents with assistance in bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene, meal service, and mobility/transfers
- Ensure residents receive high-quality care in a safe and caring manner
- Support residents and their families in advocating for their needs
- Contribute to a positive and person-centred environment
Requirements
- Registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA)
- Effective reading, writing, and speaking English skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
