Health and Wellness Coach
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Health Education, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Kinesiology, Psychology, Social Work, or related health or behavioral science field required.
EXPERIENCE: Two or more years of experience in health coaching, wellness coaching, health promotion, health education, nutrition education, fitness programming, behavioral health support, or related field required. Experience facilitating individual coaching sessions and group education preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS: Preferred certifications include National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP), Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE, Lifestyle Medicine, Motivational Interviewing, or other relevant wellness certifications
Essential Job Responsibilities
Develop and oversee health and wellness programming consistent with the Endeavor’s Wellness Model.
Promotes wellness initiatives; answers questions and collects feedback from participants.
Collaborates with leadership to identify cost-effective health and wellness programs and incentives.
Schedule group classes for activities such as yoga, nutrition, meal planning.
Ensure all contracts, certifications and liability waivers are up to date.
In coordination with an integrated care team, assesses and analyzes the general physical and behavioral health needs of the client population.
Collaboration with external entities for support, events, opportunities, education, etc.
Designs, implements, and executes plans/programs such as meditation classes, life skills classes, and other activities to support client needs.
Drafts and maintains accurate, confidential records and reports as required to track and assess client participation, program incentives, costs, and benefits to the company.
Provide yoga training, mindfulness training, theta or reiki training, and guide clients through utilization of the equipment in our wellness room.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
