Health Aide - IDEA Frontier (Immediate Opening)

Description

The Health Aide provides health services to students, conducts state-mandated screenings, maintains immunization compliance, and manages clinic files. They also promote health education and preventive practices.

• Compensation: $16.26 - $20.40 per hour, with a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• One-year experience in a health-related position, with preference for experience with school-age children
• Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• Current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid
• Certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services for vision, hearing, spinal, and AN screenings (preferred)

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct care using professional assessment skills and established protocols.
• Secure medical care for students in emergencies and notify parents.
• Administer medications to students and coordinate screening programs.
• Communicate with various stakeholders and collaborate on health-related plans.
• Review and maintain clinic records and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain certifications and report potential health hazards.
