Health Advisor III - NIDHC

Responsibilities

  • Advises NIDHC leadership on design and implementation of operational KM strategy and activities.
  • Collaborates with Combatant Commands and other external stakeholders to strengthen relationships for DoD operational medicine data sharing.
  • Reviews and develops knowledge products, publications, and reports for external stakeholders.
  • Conducts technical review and data management activities on multiple KM platforms, including health and medical metadata tagging and data analysis.
  • Coordinates with Combatant Commands and other external stakeholders to strengthen relationships for DoD health facility data sharing and analysis.
  • Contributes to stakeholder engagement and coordination on NIDHC efforts as related to P&P projects and activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree or doctoral degree preferred.
  • More than 10 years of relevant experience in global health, defense analysis, security studies, knowledge management, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret a wide range of information and using that information to suggest recommendations or improvements.
  • Knowledge of technical data management.
  • Knowledge of DoD information systems platforms.
  • Knowledge of the Military Health System.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines of projects.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to assist and contribute in technical writing.
  • Familiarity with or curiosity about GenAI tools and prompt engineering for process automation and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage stakeholder engagements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a cross-functional liaison.
  • Well-developed skills in planning, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Ability to interpret a wide range of information and use their findings to suggest improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work as a team toward achieving goals.
  • Well-developed listening and problem-solving skills to understand the issues and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed, potentially austere and/or low-resource areas.
  • May require U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a T3/Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with global health engagement preferred.
