Headache Neurologist – University Of Vermont – Burlington, VT

About the Role

The Department of Neurological Sciences at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine (LCOM) in alliance with University of Vermont (UVM) Health seeks an outstanding adult neurologist to join an expanding multidisciplinary headache disorders program encompassing clinical care, medical education, patient advocacy, and clinical/translational neuroscience research. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE clinical position with a corresponding faculty appointment in the Department of Neurological Sciences at LCOM. In addition to providing clinical care, the successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in research, service, and the education of residents, fellows, and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for headache disorders within a multidisciplinary program
• Participate in clinical and/or translational neuroscience research
• Contribute to medical education of residents, fellows, and medical students
• Engage in service activities supporting the department and institution
• Advance patient advocacy initiatives within the headache disorders program

Qualifications

• UCNS eligible or certified in headache medicine
• ABPN eligible or certified in neurology

• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Training or expertise in clinical trials
• Training or expertise in translational neuroscience
• Training or expertise in laboratory-based neuroscience research
