Headache Neurologist
Overview
The Department of Neurology at Henry Ford Hospital is seeking a board eligible/certified neurologist with additional UCNS-accredited fellowship training in headache to join our multi-disciplinary neurology team.
With four UCNS-certified headache specialists, one physician assistant, and three dedicated Headache clinic nurses our program has over 30 years of experience in the medical management of headache and migraine. Our busy clinical practice treats over 3,000 headache and migraine patients per year and includes an outpatient headache infusion center as well as a procedure clinic which includes peripheral nerve blocks and botulinum toxin injections.
Opportunity
The opportunity entails:
- Teaching opportunities with medical students, residents and fellows.
- An interprofessional approach also includes collaborations with Otolaryngology, Pain, Neurosurgery, and other clinical teams that care for patients with headache and facial pain disorders. We also collaborate with neuroradiology and interventional neuroradiology in management of patients with CSF leak.
- Research opportunities: Currently, more than 180 clinical trials are ongoing for patients with neurological diseases. All centers within the Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute conduct research, with a major focus on translational research to fast-track scientific discovery from bench to bedside.
- Tenure Track Academic Appointments available for those who qualify through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine & Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Requirements
The opportunity entails:
- Must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology residency program.
- Must have completed or currently completing a Headache Medicine fellowship program.
- Current board certification is desired.
