Head Wrestling Coach

The Ellwood City Area School District invites applications for the anticipated position of Head Wrestling Coach. The district seeks a motivated, organized, and student-centered coach to lead our wrestling program. Coaching experience at the varsity level is preferred.

Position Overview

• Manage all aspects of the district wrestling program, including season planning, practice scheduling, skill development, conditioning, and in-competition coaching.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, academic eligibility, physical safety, and personal growth.
• Coordinate with athletic directors, school administration, strength and conditioning staff, and support personnel to ensure a safe and compliant program.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at the varsity level preferred; demonstrated success coaching high school or club wrestlers is desirable.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Must possess current Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 126, and Act 168 clearances.
