Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach

About the Role

This position is for a one-year supplemental contract as the Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach, expiring at the end of the school year. The coach will assist in supervising student activities, adhere to district/building policies, and report to the Athletic Director.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for and assists in all practice sessions and scheduled games.
• Works in cooperation with other staff members and the Athletic Director.
• Distributes, collects, and inventories all equipment and uniforms.
• Maintains necessary records and forms.
• Provides leadership and direction to students involved in the activity.
• Promotes school and student pride by ensuring players behave respectfully toward officials, players, coaches, spectators, and school personnel.
• Maintains locker room facilities in a clean and presentable manner, checking and reporting concerns after each practice/meet.
• Promotes sportsmanship and goodwill at all times.
• Supports the team's fundraising efforts by organizing and participating in concession stand operations during volunteer shifts.
• Performs other duties as assigned to implement athletic program goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate preferred.
• Prior experience and/or knowledge of lacrosse preferred.
• Ability to work with those involved in setting up the program.
• Ability to work with young athletes and provide a positive influence.
• Maintain current Pupil Activity Permit, CPR training certificate, and other required certifications.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Conditions of Employment

Effective Date: 2026/2027 school year
Length of Employment: One-year supplemental contract
Salary: According to the negotiated agreement
