Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach

About the Role

An ideal coaching candidate for JUHSD and its respective school possesses the following:

• Expertise on the rules, strategies, techniques, sports equipment, physical fitness, and safety of their respective sport
• Ability to motivate student athletes to maximize their athletic talent
• Skills to help prepare student athletes for competition
• Proficiency in completing administrative tasks, including:
  • Scheduling athletic events and practices
  • Arranging transportation
  • Maintaining supplies and equipment
  • Assisting in the maintenance of school facilities
• Assistance to student athletes in maintaining and meeting eligibility requirements for participation in high school athletic events
• Strong communication and supervisory skills
• Ability to make decisions under pressure
• Ability to work in conjunction with the Athletic Director and site administration to enforce all school rules and policies
