Head Swim Team Coach

Position Summary As the Aquatics Head Swim Team Coach, you must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. You will write and run Swim Team Group Workouts according to the season plan. You will train the Swim Team Coaches on their team. This position oversees the registering of new participants for the Team and maintains the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities. Job Duties And Responsibilities Creates an educational and safe experience for all participantsInitiates and maintains positive relationships with participantsResponds to member questions regarding Life Time's programs, policies and proceduresProvides a safe, clean and organized pool areaPromotes and sells all Aquatics programs and servicesActs as the liaison between the Aquatics Department Head, USA Swimming, Swim Coaches and ParentsParticipates in weekly 1 on 1 meetings with the Aquatics ManagerWrites the season plan and workout templates for each seasonEnters the swimmers into the swim meet program Minimum Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED Years of Experience: 2 years of swim coaching experienceMember of ASCA and USA SwimmingAbility to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of timeAbility to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and servicesAbility to swim 25 yards/meters without stoppingAbility to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs Licenses / Certifications / Registrations: Safety Training for Swim Coaches certificationComplete LTU Safety Training before first shiftLifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C. Complete all LTU courses within first 60 days of hireLifeguard Certification within 60 days of hireMust complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related fieldSwim lesson instruction experience1 year of customer service experienceASCA Level 2 Certification or higher Pay This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.75 and pays up to $24.00, based on experience and qualifications.
