About the role

The Center Support Assistant assists the Center Manager in daily operations by completing a variety of tasks and responsibilities based on center needs, and at the discretion of the Center Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews family information and verifies documents to certify eligibility, assists in proper selection and enrollment, maintains child attendance records, inputs data into data systems, and completes related reports.
  • Bills and codes, manages inventory, prepares food service reports, shops for supplies, handles in-kind donations, and supports classrooms as needed.
  • Recruits potential parents by providing information about program services and benefits.

Requirements

  • Able to verify family eligibility criteria for program funding sources.
  • Able to compile and enter data into the program database.
  • Able to communicate regularly with supervisor and center staff.
  • Able to assist in developing and distributing center information, facilitating telephone communication, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Able to schedule bus inspections and prepare for DOT inspections, as well as maintain and update bus route information.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a First Aid and CPR Certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar administrative or support role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Data entry and management.
  • Customer service and recruitment.
  • Inventory management and supply procurement.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
