About the role
Part-time Cook position working 30 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Maintain sanitation standards and safety
- Prepare and store food
- Maintain accurate records for food purchases and supplies
- Serve meals and snacks in a family-style setting
- Participate in staff meetings and staff development
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willing to obtain ServSafe Certification within six months of hire
- Previous experience with food preparation is desirable
- Ability to learn and implement food programs, if necessary
- Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including:
- Head Start Standards of Conduct
- Federal and state criminal history requirements
- Sex offender registry checks
- Drug screen
- Physical examination
- Annual T.B. test
