Head Speed and Strength Coach
Job Summary
Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes and coaching staff.
Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
Conduct and lead all classes the D1 Way. This requires proper attire, proper music, loud verbal coaching, understanding, enforcing coaching cues, organization of the group sessions, and tempo and transition of all the groups.
A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:
Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
Starting and finishing workouts on time
Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
Coaching group workouts, personal training, and teams
Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes and coaching staff.
- Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
- Serve as the Main coach for all the classes and oversee coaching schedule.
- Take a personal stake in the lives of our athletes, maintaining regular contact and monitoring their individual progress toward their goals.
- Train and develop the other coaches in the facility through staff meetings, continuing education, and program review.
- Ensure all new coaches go through the proper process to become a D1 coach.
- Oversee the training spaces maintenance and cleaning, maintain equipment, cleaning, and organization of all training areas.
- Attend and lead marketing events such as competitions, combines, etc.
Qualifications
- Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification
- At least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA
- Minimum of 1 year of strength & conditioning-related experience in group, team, or personal training setting
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
- Has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field (preferred)
Compensation
$40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
