About the role
The Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) seeks to inspire wonder through the power of art. This role supports the museum's mission by building meaningful relationships with high-profile donors.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of 75-100+ major donors and prospects ($2,500+)
- Identify and cultivate connections with donors
- Secure gifts that align with Mia's mission
- Guide donors through the donation process
- Collaborate with Advancement leadership and staff
- Create and manage donor strategies
- Draft donor materials
- Stay informed about Mia's mission and trends in major and planned giving
- Develop and manage donor communications
- Update Salesforce records accurately
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in individual fundraising or a related field
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional people skills and self-motivation
- Ability to work comfortably with a diverse group of people
- Able to work an occasional night or weekend day

Education Coordinator
The Education Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Education department by coordinating programming and working closely with the team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of learning/education programs
- Create and manage schedules for PK-12 programs
- Create supply lists and ensure materials are prepared for programs
- Schedule Art Adventure pick up and drop off
- Collaborate with department staff on program details and communications
- Support onsite education programs
- Support the Volunteers team with administrative tasks
- Collaborate with department coordinators to streamline program processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in visual arts-related field or equivalent experience
- One year experience with program coordination
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Experience utilizing multiple types of office and scheduling software
- Multi-tasking capabilities, initiative, problem-solving, accuracy, follow-up, and follow-through
- Organizational and time management skills
- Work onsite at Mia
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
