About the role
The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts seeks an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Marketing Coordinator. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the institute's marketing efforts, including social media management, event promotion, and audience engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns across various platforms to increase brand awareness and drive attendance to exhibitions and events.
- Manage social media accounts, creating engaging content and responding to inquiries from the public.
- Coordinate with internal teams to promote upcoming exhibitions and events through press releases, email newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing materials.
- Assist in organizing and promoting special events and workshops, ensuring logistical support and attendee satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in marketing or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
Qualifications
While a degree is preferred, candidates with equivalent experience may be considered.
Skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing strategies.
- Experience with video editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro).

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
