About the role
First in-house tax position at a +$20B AUM hedge fund, created due to growth. The Head of Tax will establish the internal tax function and manage the relationship with the firm’s Big 4 external advisors. This is a pure review role—no compliance work.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead the hedge fund’s inaugural in-house tax team
- Oversee and review all tax matters handled by external Big 4 consultants
- Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders on tax strategy and reporting
Requirements
- Extensive experience with partnership K-1 preparation and S Corporation taxation
- High-net-worth individual tax experience is a significant plus
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively with firm leadership
