Allianz Commercial is seeking an accomplished Head of Strategic Relationships, Americas to lead one of our most influential market-facing teams. In this executive leadership role, you will serve as the driving force behind our relationships with key broker partners, MGA/MGU organizations, Program Administrators, and wholesale distribution channels across North America and Latin America.

About the role

This is more than a relationship management role. It is an opportunity to influence regional strategy, strengthen market presence, drive profitable growth, and elevate Allianz Commercial's position as a preferred partner across the Property & Casualty insurance landscape.

As Head of Strategic Relationships, you will define and execute the distribution strategy for some of the most important broker and portfolio solution partnerships in the Americas. You'll collaborate with senior leaders across underwriting, distribution, and global business functions while leading a high-performing team focused on creating long-term value for clients, brokers, and Allianz Commercial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing distribution team across multiple locations, fostering a culture of collaboration, customer-centricity, accountability, and commercial excellence.
  • Champion sales capability development, coaching, and strategic talent growth.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness and ensure alignment across business units and regions.
  • Develop and execute regional distribution strategies that deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Create innovative market plans leveraging industry segments, broker channels, and lines of business.
  • Expand Allianz Commercial's footprint with national broker partners and portfolio solution organizations.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior and executive leadership across key broker organizations.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to distribution partners while identifying opportunities for growth and market differentiation.
  • Develop engagement strategies that deepen partnership value and increase share of wallet.
  • Own regional pipeline strategy, business development planning, retention initiatives, and growth objectives.
  • Establish meaningful KPIs and performance metrics to monitor distribution effectiveness.
  • Leverage market intelligence and analytics to identify emerging opportunities and trends.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and operational excellence across national broker and portfolio solutions programs.
  • Position Allianz Commercial as a leading insurer across Large Corporate, Mid-Market, Specialty, and Program Business segments.
  • Represent Allianz Commercial within industry forums and key market events.
  • Promote thought leadership, innovation, and value-added services that strengthen our competitive position.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Law, or related field preferred.
  • 11+ years of experience within the commercial P&C, industrial, specialty, or reinsurance sectors.
  • Proven success leading business development, distribution, sales, or broker relationship teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale organizational change and business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams within complex matrix organizations.
  • Established reputation and long-standing relationships with senior broker leadership across the industry.
  • Professional insurance designation (CII or equivalent) preferred.

Pay

The annualized base pay range for this opportunity is $228,148 - $343,259. The actual salary may be above this range and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience. Employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.

Schedule

This is a full-time, permanent role. The opportunity can be based in our New York City, Chicago, or Alpharetta offices.
