Head of Specialty Complex Claims

For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Head of Specialty Complex Claims to advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience. You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives, influencing culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of claims professionals
• Manage complex coverage disputes and litigation matters
• Formulate claims strategies and manage outside counsel
• Oversee the discovery process and ensure proper deposition preparation
• Guide teams on coverage issues and dispute handling
• Identify trends in liability and coverage for strategic claims management
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the team

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of claims management experience
• Proven track record in handling complex coverage issues
• In-depth knowledge of litigation, arbitration, and trial processes
• Strong analytical and negotiating skills
• Excellent communication abilities for managing conflicting opinions
• Law degree and admission to a state bar

Pay

$250,000 – $270,000 annually
