Head of Specialty Complex Claims

Location: Short Hills, NJ – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a sophisticated team of claims professionals
• Directly manage complex coverage disputes and litigation
• Formulate and manage claims and litigation strategies
• Oversee discovery issues and prepare witnesses for testimonies
• Provide guidance on coverage disputes and claims handling
• Identify trends in liability and coverage; develop strategies
• Recruit and develop talent while maintaining succession plans

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of claims management experience
• In-depth knowledge of claims, litigation, arbitration, and trial processes
• Demonstrated ability to handle a wide variety of complex coverage issues
• Experience practicing law as well as managing claims
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization
• Law Degree and admission in good standing to a state bar

Pay

$250,000 – $270,000 annually
