Head of Solutions Engineering, Americas
About the role
Vanta is seeking a Head of Solutions Engineering, Americas to own and scale the regional Solutions Engineering (SE) organization. The ideal candidate will drive technical win rates, accelerate deals, and shape how Vanta's trust platform goes to market across North America.
Responsibilities
Own and scale SE attach rate, win rate, and revenue per SE across all Americas segments — Early Stage through Enterprise and Strategic.
Partner with segment Sales and Account Management leaders to ensure the right technical coverage at the right stage for every deal type.
Drive workshop-led engagement that shortens sales cycles, improves forecast accuracy, and accelerates time to value.
Cultivate trust and credibility with prospects and customers throughout the technical evaluation, creating an experience that reflects Vanta's values and establishes the foundation for long-term customer success.
Lead and develop a team of Solutions Engineers across Early Stage, Growth, Commercial, and Enterprise segments.
Be a true partner to the AMER GTM Leadership, proactive, data-driven, and collaborative.
Partner with segment Sales and Account Management Directors across Early Stage, Growth, Commercial, and Enterprise to optimize the SE motion for each.
Align with Customer Success to ensure seamless handoffs and strong post-sale outcomes.
Represent NAMER Solutions in global leadership forums with clear data and a strong point of view.
Own the SE scorecard and operating cadence for AMER: weekly readouts, QBRs, deal inspection, and forecast reviews.
Define and maintain clear rules of engagement so every segment gets the right SE coverage at the right time.
Contribute to Vanta's Global Solutions COE by building playbooks and best practices that scale across regions.
Seek to design and build with AI to drive both efficiency improvements and higher-quality outcomes.
Requirements
12+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting in SaaS, with at least 5 years in a people leadership role.
Proven track record leading SE teams across multiple segments — ideally spanning both high-velocity SMB/Growth motions and complex Enterprise deals.
Deep experience partnering with Sales leadership at the VP and Director level — not just supporting them, but co-owning outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to build operational systems that make Solutions impact measurable and repeatable.
Background in GRC, compliance, security, or identity is a strong plus.
Qualifications
Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
