About the role
A leading venture capital fund seeks a Head of Social to enhance visibility, timeliness, and connection to the portfolio's momentum through strategic social media content.
Responsibilities
- Own the fund’s social presence: manage feeds, maintain a consistent posting schedule, and respond promptly to relevant news, launches, milestones, cultural moments, founder activity, and portfolio updates.
- Monitor priority companies, draft posts, quote tweets, replies, founder spotlights, and short-form commentary that amplifies momentum and ties each company to the fund’s broader narrative.
- Turn long-form ideas, essays, podcasts, memos, and investor notes into timely short-form content, while developing systems for content creation and management.
- Build processes for spotting interesting founders, operators, writers, and creators within the fund’s network, and ensure these individuals are integrated into the content strategy.
Requirements
- Native to social media, particularly Twitter and LinkedIn, with a proven track record in creating impactful content.
- Strong understanding of venture capital principles and the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, engaging narratives.
- Excellent taste in content and a keen eye for what resonates on social platforms.
- Adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines, with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively.
- Experience in content creation, marketing, or a related field, preferably in the tech or finance sectors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in content creation, marketing, or a related field, with a focus on digital and social media.
- Proven success in driving engagement and growth on social platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of content marketing strategies and tools, including SEO, analytics, and social media advertising.
Skills
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a talent for crafting compelling, concise content.
- Experience with social media management tools and platforms, such as Buffer, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social.
- Familiarity with content marketing best practices and trends.
- Understanding of data analysis and metrics, with the ability to interpret and act on insights.
