Head of Security Operations

About the role

The Head of Security Operations will lead the security operations center (SOC) team, ensuring that all security protocols are effectively implemented and maintained. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in cybersecurity, and knowledge of incident response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SOC, including monitoring alerts, responding to incidents, and coordinating with other teams within the organization.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect the organization's assets and systems from cyber threats.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of security measures across the organization.
• Lead the training and development of the SOC team to enhance their skills and knowledge in cybersecurity.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies to ensure the organization remains protected against emerging threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years leading a SOC team.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving complex security incidents.
• Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools and threat intelligence platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Experience with cloud security solutions and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR.
• Knowledge of network architecture, wireless security, and physical security principles.

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
