Head of Section, Measurements
About the role
DNV Energy Systems’ Renewables and Power Grids is seeking a Head of Section, Measurements to lead the section's strategic growth and operational excellence. The role involves optimizing business operations, enhancing service delivery, fostering innovation, and developing a high-performing culture.
Responsibilities
- Build, implement, and maintain the Measurements and Testing business plan.
- Ensure efficient and consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations.
- Optimize business performance through delivery management, cost-efficient business operations, and improved utilization rate.
- Drive innovation by proposing new improvements, tools, and business practices to maintain leadership in the industry.
- Empower employees, foster professional growth, and retain talent through personnel evaluation, coaching, and mentoring.
- Create a flexible workforce and automate workflows to manage variable workload.
- Build and strengthen a strong internal culture based on company values.
- Support the Head of Department in strategy and decision-making.
- Stimulate a high-performing culture, set direction, and act as a role model for employee experience.
- Ensure employees have the required technical competencies and own the pipeline for technical talent.
- Foster an inclusive culture where employees can grow, feel valued, and have a sense of belonging.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5+) years of relevant industry experience.
- Three (3+) years of professional experience in Measurements, Power Curve Testing, Resource Assessment.
- Experience in managing a team, with the proven ability to develop a high-performing culture in a fast-paced, changing, and complex environment.
- Proven leadership skills to engage, develop, and motivate employees.
- Demonstrated excellence in written English communication and presentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in relevant field such as engineering or physical science.
- Willingness and ability to travel, up to 25% of the time.
- Five (5+) years of leadership experience with the ability to strategize, inspire, and achieve goals.
- Two (2+) years in an innovation and/or product management role.
