Responsibilities
- Drive the long-term vision for Intuit’s Sanctions Compliance program, ensuring it matures alongside our expanding global footprint and evolving product suite.
- Administer and monitor day-to-day compliance with OFAC and international sanctions laws. Ensure our policies and internal controls meet the highest regulatory standards and partner expectations.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to integrate compliance into the heart of our ecosystem.
- Act as a key advisor to Legal, Product, and Operations. Work with product teams to build compliant-by-design customer experiences.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to manage and enhance automated sanctions screening systems. Ensure screening parameters and fuzzy-matching logic to identify risk while minimizing customer friction.
- Lead the response for state/federal examinations and internal/external audits. Be the primary point of contact for sanctions-related inquiries and the corrective action of any findings.
- Conduct comprehensive Sanctions Risk Assessments, considering new products, geographies, and emerging geopolitical risks.
- Maintain and update sanctions policies, seeking approval from the relevant Boards and Executive Leadership as necessary. Present the overall sanctions program health to various subsidiary boards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience as a Sanctions Compliance leader in Financial Services or FinTech.
- Domain Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of OFAC regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and international sanctions regimes (e.g., UK HMT, EU, UN).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and managing in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Savvy: Experience working with automated monitoring software and a deep understanding of how data science/AI can be applied to sanctions screening.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Juris Doctor (JD) strongly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into "plain English" for non-compliance stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Mindset: A "self-starter" who thrives in ambiguity and is passionate about Intuit’s mission to power prosperity.

The Expected Base Pay Range For This Position Is:
- Mountain View: $219,000 - $296,500
- San Diego, CA: $193,000- $261,000
- Washington, DC: $187,000- $253,000
