Head of Sales Operations and Analytics - Remote
About the role
This role is responsible for sales operations and sales analytics for a large life sciences consulting organization. This role will manage 7 employees to ensure that the team is increasing sales pipeline, engaging in early conversations with potential customers, and overall bringing qualified sales leads into the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage 7 employees to increase sales pipeline
- Engage in early conversations with potential customers
- Bring qualified sales leads into the organization
- Work with the VP of Sales, along with Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure accurate reporting of sales deals
- Manage sales pipeline calls and ensure readiness for internal sales update meetings
- Work with the business units to monitor sales trends and identify key decisions to be made
- Represent the sales team at internal Optum sales operations meetings and training sessions
- Enable a more proactive analytics function
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of people management experience
- 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, and/or Sales Management
- Life Sciences consulting experience
- People management experience
- Moderate to advanced understanding of SalesForce, to enable the creation of sales dashboards
- Moderate to advanced understanding of Excel, to enable the creation of sales dashboards
- Background in sales operations, inside sales, or direct sales
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of people management experience
- 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, and/or Sales Management
- Life Sciences consulting experience
- People management experience
- Moderate to advanced understanding of SalesForce, to enable the creation of sales dashboards
- Moderate to advanced understanding of Excel, to enable the creation of sales dashboards
- Background in sales operations, inside sales, or direct sales
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with SalesForce and Excel
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team

Pay
The salary for this role will range from $159,300 to $273,200 annually based on full-time employment.
