Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all revenue from residential, day and clinical programs for YAI and its affiliate agencies in New York, New Jersey and California.
  • Ensuring the day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the operating effectiveness of the revenue cycle from service capture to cash collections.
  • Conducting detailed assessments of revenue cycle processes, procedures, and systems, including regulatory and oversight requirements.
  • Leading the redesign and enhancement of revenue cycle operations to improve efficiency, cash flow, and compliance.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to scope and implement process improvements in areas like IT, Operations, Compliance, and Finance.
  • Directly supervising Finance and Operations teams responsible for billing and collections, guiding staff productivity and performance.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and cash collections to ensure they meet benchmarks and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Working with the accounting team to enable functions such as accounts receivable valuation, bad debt determinations, payments posting, and bank statement reconciliation.
  • Staying informed about relevant federal and state regulations and commercial payor regulations for I/DD program billing and medical services.
  • Maintaining knowledge of HIPAA and handling protected health information in compliance with the act.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Ten (10) years of progressively responsible industry experience, including at least five (5) years of experience managing revenue cycle operations for a healthcare organization similar in size and implementing large-scale enhancements.
  • Knowledge of receivables software, billing platforms, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and influence at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to report on-site to the Manhattan office at least three (3) days per week.

Compensation

$215,000 - $235,000 depending on skills and experience.
