Head of Recruiting

About the role

We're hiring a Head of Recruiting to scale the highest-performing AI research organization in the world. You'll own our recruiting strategy and build a hiring engine that consistently identifies and closes exceptional talent. You'll work closely with our founders and technical leaders to internalize our hiring bar, and never lower it.

Responsibilities

• Own Goodfire’s hiring strategy and execution across all functions
• Build a sourcing engine that maps and reaches the strongest researchers and engineers in the world before they're on the market
• Own the interview process end to end
• Define and defend the hiring bar in partnership with founders and technical leaders
• Own recruiting data and forecasting: pipeline health, conversion, time-to-close, and the headcount plan behind them
• Hire and lead a recruiting team that matches the pace of the company, while staying deeply hands-on in the funnel

Requirements

We're looking for a systems thinker who can turn recruiting into a repeatable machine. You should be the kind of person who builds a map of every strong interpretability researcher in the world, and knows how to reach each one. You'll also thrive in a high-intensity environment and move with urgency.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting for high-growth tech companies
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing recruiting teams
• Strong understanding of the AI research industry and the key players within it
• Ability to define and defend a rigorous hiring bar
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Strong sourcing and networking skills
• Experience with ATS and applicant tracking systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills to forecast and optimize recruiting efforts

Benefits

Market competitive salary, equity, and competitive benefits. The expected salary range for this position is $400-500k.

Full-time, onsite 5 days a week in the San Francisco office.
