About the role

We are seeking a Head of Product Management to lead our product organization across Barcelona and Austin. This hands‑on leadership role involves coaching and growing product managers while also shaping specs, unblocking delivery, and ensuring commitments land on time. You will develop and continuously tune AI‑agentic processes that automate work where possible and keep humans in the loop where needed. The role demands high workload, rapid pace, and responsiveness across both time zones.

What you’ll do

• Lead, hire, and develop a team of product managers across two sites and time zones.
• Own delivery: ensure roadmap commitments ship on schedule, with clear accountability when they don’t.
• Push the team and maintain oversight—align PM definitions with the product roadmap and manage cross‑squad dependencies early.
• Define and evolve the product development process for an AI‑agentic product portfolio, including how product managers use AI daily.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Product Design, Head of Project Management, Engineering, scientific team, and product owners.
• Translate the needs of sponsors, CROs, and clinical teams into product requirements that meet regulatory scrutiny.
• Establish and report on key metrics such as adoption, time‑to‑value, and delivery predictability to the VP of Product & CPO.
• Raise the bar on product craft: discovery quality, written specs, customer evidence, and prioritization discipline.

Qualifications

• AI‑native: daily use of AI tools and ability to design, teach, and refine AI‑agentic product development processes.
• At least 7 years of work experience, including several years managing product managers.
• Proven track record shipping complex B2B or enterprise software on time.
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones.
• Ability to hold a high bar and push a team without losing it—direct, demanding, and fair.
• Strong written communication: can make complex product decisions legible to executives, engineers, and customers.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, ambiguous, scale‑up environment.
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.

Nice‑to‑haves

• Technical background with skills to reason about system architecture, LLM and agent behavior, data models, and trade‑offs.
• Clinical trial knowledge: protocol design, clinical operations, regulatory submissions, or experience working with sponsors and CROs.
