Head of Pricing
The Opportunity
Pricing Strategy Ownership: Defining, executing, and continuously evolving the group pricing strategy and architecture to ensure alignment with macro business objectives and financial targets.
Market & Competitor Intelligence: Overseeing continuous market, competitor, and macroeconomic trend analysis to proactively identify margin opportunities and mitigate competitive threats.
Change Management: Leading the business through strategic pricing transformations, supporting branch and sales teams with the adoption of new pricing tools and processes.
Value Proposition Alignment: Developing and refining customer-segmentation and product-tier pricing structures that reflect the unique value proposition of BSS across various channels.
Data-Driven Insights: Establishing robust data analytics frameworks to monitor transactional data, identify pricing anomalies, and derive actionable insights for sales and commercial teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering closely with Commercial, Category Management, Marketing and Finance teams to align pricing with promotional calendars and stock strategies.
Executive Reporting: Preparing, analysing, and presenting comprehensive pricing performance dashboards, KPIs and strategic updates to senior/executive stakeholders.
Commercial Policy Governance: Establishing, maintaining and enforcing clear pricing policies, authorisation matrixes and governance workflows in line with TP Group Policy.
Technology & AI Integration: Upgrading your team's toolkit by keeping pace with developments in AI and automated pricing intelligence to optimise our market position.
About You
- Essential Degree-level educated or equivalent industry experience, with a background that includes a pricing, mathematics or statistics based discipline.
- Proven management experience, with a track record of leading and developing people.
- Experience managing and delivering large-scale, complex commercial projects within a B2B Distribution or Merchanting environment.
- Strong data analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of pricing science, revenue management, and commercial acumen.
- Well-organised, self-motivated, and highly capable of prioritising and performing under pressure.
