About the role

We are seeking a Senior Director, Head of Marketing, US Oncology to lead the strategic and tactical marketing efforts across a portfolio of products within our growing commercial organization. This individual will drive US oncology brand strategy, in-line marketing execution, and launch planning for pipeline assets across the oncology portfolio. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment while leading multiple brands and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy & Execution
    • Oversee marketing activities for all products within the Oncology Franchise and manage the brand team.
    • Lead the annual brand planning process, develop and execute integrated marketing plans for in-line and pipeline brands, aligning with corporate and commercial objectives.
    • Manage day-to-day brand operations, ensuring timely development, production, and execution of campaigns, messaging, and materials to optimize brand awareness and performance.
    • Monitor brand performance, KPIs, and market dynamics to optimize marketing strategy and inform tactical pivots.
    • Collaborate with finance and forecasting to develop short- and long-term forecasts.
    • Work with the insights team on conducting primary research and assessing secondary research data to garner market insights and inform brand strategy.
    • Manage the topline revenue forecast while effectively managing gross-to-nets.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Oversee a portfolio of products at various lifecycle stages (pre-launch, launch, growth, maturity).
    • Prioritize and allocate resources across brands to maximize impact and ROI.
    • Ensure brand consistency while tailoring approaches to product-specific needs and market segments.
    • Work with sales training, commercial functional partners, medical, and legal teams on developing and implementing commercial training for the franchise.
    • Continually assess the competitive marketplace to anticipate changes and revise strategies accordingly.
  • Launch Planning & Readiness
    • Partner with the launch excellence lead to drive cross-functional launch readiness efforts for new indications or products within the portfolio.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, Regulatory, and external agencies to deliver high-quality, compliant promotional and educational content.
    • Develop and manage North America launch timelines, training materials, and field execution strategies.
  • Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
    • Serve as a key liaison between marketing and the field force, driving alignment on strategy and messaging.
    • Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and vendors to develop omnichannel marketing campaigns.
    • Engage with KOLs and gather market insights to inform brand planning and positioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including 7+ years of in-line marketing/launch experience in U.S. Oncology.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple brands or indications simultaneously.
  • Prior experience with direct reports and team management.
  • Experience in managing P&Ls.
  • Must exhibit leadership skills, ability to manage in a fast-paced environment, and influence without authority.
  • Broad commercial leader who thinks strategically and drives execution/results; experience in sales and other commercial areas is highly desired.
  • Track record of managing financials including budget, gross-to-nets, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to develop executive-level updates and narratives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving organization with a hands-on and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams toward achieving common goals.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Hybrid or office-based, depending on location.
  • Travel: ~20–30% (including conferences, sales meetings, field rides, etc.).
