Director of LegalLocation: Atlanta, GA Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and business-minded Director of Legal to serve as a key strategic partner to executive leadership and provide broad legal support across the organization. This individual will act as a legal generalist with significant expertise in Intellectual Property, Commercial Contracts, Product Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs. Key ResponsibilitiesLead all legal matters related to intellectual property, including trademark, copyright, trade secret, licensing, and brand protection strategies.Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial contracts, including vendor, customer, supply, distribution, and licensing agreements.Serve as the primary legal advisor on product compliance and regulatory matters, ensuring adherence to applicable federal, state, and industry regulations.Partner with product development, quality, operations, and marketing teams to assess legal and regulatory risks associated with product launches, labeling, packaging, and advertising.Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide compliance programs, policies, and training initiatives to mitigate legal and regulatory risk.Advise executive leadership on strategic business initiatives, risk management, regulatory developments, and legal implications of operational decisions.Manage litigation, disputes, government inquiries, and outside counsel relationships while driving efficient and practical legal solutions.Collaborate cross-functionally across business units to support growth initiatives, maintain corporate governance standards, and foster a culture of ethics and compliance. QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active bar membership in good standing.8+ years of legal experienceDemonstrated experience serving as a legal generalist supporting commercial business operations.Experience advising cross-functional business teams on legal and regulatory risk.
